Quantum Many-Body Mpemba Effect through Ruelle-Pollicott Resonances
The authors provide a framework for understanding the quantum Mpemba effect (QME) in chaotic many-body systems using Ruelle-Pollicott resonances. They show that suppressing overlap with dominant resonant modes accelerates subsystem equilibration, causing the QME. A novel strong QME can arise from completely breaking translational symmetry in initial states, which is demonstrated using a kicked Ising chain.
