Counterdiabatic Raman Atom Optics for Compact High-Sensitivity Gravimetry
Researchers developed a method called STIRSAP to encode counterdiabatic corrections directly into Raman pulse envelopes for high-fidelity atom optics. This eliminates the need for external microwave fields. Simulations show single-pulse transfer fidelities of 0.99902, proving that superadiabatic shaping suppresses errors in ultrafast sequences. The work suggests this approach is useful for compact interferometry but highlights limitations imposed by technical noise at high momentum orders.
