Parafermions in polarized nu=2/3 Fractional Quantum (Anomalous) Hall Heterostructures
The study investigates Z3 parafermion zero modes (PZMs) at edges of spin-polarized nu=2/3 fractional quantum Hall states when coupled to superconductors. By analyzing interedge dipole interactions using bosonization, the research shows these interactions can dynamically resolve competition between tunneling and pairing, stabilizing a double sine-Gordon model that hosts the desired parafermionic modes.
