Retrieval Is Not Enough: Refreshing Memory for Frozen Time-Series Forecasters
FreshCast improves time-series forecasting by keeping a forecaster frozen while continuously updating a non-parametric memory with new data. It calibrates how much the retrieved historical information should correct the forecaster's errors using validation data. This approach significantly reduces forecasting error across various models and input lengths compared to standard methods.
