The Hand of God Revisited: Revealing the Shell Structure and Jet-Supernova Remnant Interaction in MSH 15-52

This study analyzed X-ray data of supernova remnant MSH 15–52 to find shell structures and a foreground source. It found both northern and southern shells are consistent with shocked interstellar medium from the forward shock. Low ionization times and hard power-law components suggest influence from particle injection or heating by pulsar wind nebula jets, constraining the progenitor mass to about 29 M⊙.
