Detecting and Identifying Supernovae in AGN Accretion Disks
The study modeled electromagnetic emission from supernovae occurring in accretion disks around black holes using shock dynamics and radiation models. Results show that disk SNe are more detectable than isolated SNe, especially around lower-mass black holes or at lower Eddington ratios. The characteristic emission shifts based on the black hole mass, offering distinct signatures across different energy bands.
