Experimental verification of the PRIORA Monte Carlo code for proton radiography
The PRIORA Monte Carlo code was tested against experimental proton radiography data from a Ta bench target at GSI. By fitting the simulation to a single experimental image, researchers verified that PRIORA accurately reproduces measurements for both 2 GeV and 4 GeV protons. This validation confirms the model's ability to simulate proton transport through matter and ion optics.
