A new double-layered kagome antiferromagnet ScFe 6 Ge 4
ScFe6Ge4 was investigated to determine its magnetic state, contrasting previous ferromagnetic claims with new evidence suggesting antiferromagnetism. NMR experiments and DFT calculations proved ScFe6Ge4 is AFM with a high Néel temperature of TN ≈ 650 K. This discovery positions it as an important alternative to the known topological ferromagnet Fe3Sn2.
