Universal Statistics of Measurement-Induced Entanglement in Tomonaga-Luttinger liquids

The study analyzes measurement-induced entanglement (MIE) in Tomonaga-Luttinger liquids by averaging over microscopic measurement outcomes. The authors found that this Born averaging is equivalent to averaging over conformal boundary conditions of the underlying Conformal Field Theory (CFT). This reveals universal scaling laws and bimodal distributions for MIE, showing that only rare, large entanglement boundary conditions significantly affect the results.
