Simulating Transient Noise Bursts in LIGO with gengli

Researchers developed a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) called gengli to create realistic synthetic blip glitches in gravitational-wave interferometer data. This tool helps stress-test search pipelines and increases confidence in detecting real astrophysical signals by simulating various noise artifacts.
