Out-of-Air Computation: Enabling Structured Function Extraction from Wireless Superposition
Out-of-Air Computation (AirCPU) changes AirComp by focusing on extracting target functions from wireless signals rather than embedding them directly. It uses joint source-channel coding and a multi-layer nested lattice architecture to create a structured superposition. This allows the receiver to progressively resolve continuous data into desired functions, showing that computation error is primarily limited by the finest resolution set by the lattice.
