Detecting Tidal Resonances in Binary Neutron Stars

The study tested if future detectors like the Einstein Telescope can find tidal resonances in binary neutron star mergers. Simulations showed that these resonances are detectable, with a minimum phase shift of about 0.03 for favorable events. Modeling these resonances is crucial because ignoring them biases the measurement of important properties like tidal deformability.
