Polarization Vortices in a Ferromagnetic Metal via Twistronics
Researchers investigated how twisting two layers of SrRuO3 creates 'twistronics' in metallic membranes. They found that this stacking induces dipolar vortices, which are linked to strain gradients and lead to a coexistence of polar and magnetic ordering. This establishes SrRuO3 as a multiferroic metal under twistronics, opening doors for new spintronic effects.
