A Misaligned Debris Disk relative to the Host Star CPD-72 2713 from JWST/NIRCam Imaging
JWST/NIRCam observations revealed CPD-72 2713 has a large, dust-rich disk with radii smaller than those inferred from thermal emission, suggesting scattered light traces the inner region while thermal emission probes the outer disk. The study found a minimum star-disk mutual inclination exceeding 10 degrees and ruled out planets as the primary driver of misalignment within the system's age.
