Log Density Spectrum Based Decoding of Polar Codes for Channels with Strong Phase Noise
The Log-Density Spectrum Recursion (LDSR) method is proposed to decode polar codes reliably under strong phase noise. It improves performance over traditional Successive Cancellation and Kalman methods by recursing over probability density functions instead of scalar soft information. This approach yields superior error performance and solves the error floor limitations of existing techniques.
