The work introduces a Control Co-Design (CCD) framework to optimize sustainability in microgrid data centers by balancing manufacturing, operation, and disposal impacts. It integrates plant design variables with controller settings into a single objective function. Results show the framework can reduce manufacturing emissions and e-waste by 50% compared to baseline designs.
