CSF: Contextual Safety Filtering for Motion Generators
Contextual Safety Filtering (CSF) is a training-free method that uses natural language rules to filter unsafe motions generated by AI models. It works by comparing an unsafe reference motion with a safe reference motion derived from benign commands, creating a semantic margin. A tracking controller then enforces this margin in real-time, reducing danger events by up to 90% while keeping safe motions intact.
