Unusual strong ferromagnetism in site-ordered cubic Laves phase compound LuInCo 4 with Co-pyrochlore lattice
Researchers synthesized single crystals of LuInCo4, a Laves phase compound with a Co-pyrochlore sublattice, and found it exhibits unusual strong ferromagnetism with a Curie temperature of 306 K. This discovery suggests LuInCo4 is a new itinerant electron ferromagnet and warrants further study as a pyrochlore metal.
