ACORN I. Massive Black Hole Seeding and Tidal Disruption Events from Star Clusters in Cosmological Simulations
The authors introduce a new model for seeding massive black holes (MBHs) in cosmological simulations based on runaway collisions within star clusters observed by JWST. This physical model generates seeds whose mass depends on host cluster properties, leading to a more realistic scaling of MBH mass with galaxy size. It predicts a higher merger rate and enhanced observability of low-mass seeds.
