On topological properties of closed attractors

This work investigates when a closed attractor A is homotopy equivalent to its basin of attraction B(A) in a metric space. It generalizes results from compact attractors by introducing concepts like Fd-cofibrations, which are necessary for non-compact cases. The main result characterizes this equivalence using these filters, providing tools for understanding global stabilization in control theory.
