Understanding how Coronal Heating and Magnetic Field Scaling Affect Global Properties of the Low and Middle Corona

The study used a 3D MHD model to test how increasing coronal heating and scaling magnetic field strength affect coronal structure. Increasing heating led to larger-scale open flux and more visible white-light structures in the K-corona between 1.5 and 6 R⊙. This suggests that overall heating is a key factor determining large-scale coronal morphology.
