Negative differential conductance in triangular molecular assemblies
Researchers created a molecular device using a triangular cluster of TBTAP molecules on a superconducting substrate to observe negative differential conductance (NDC). The study found that NDC occurs purely from electron correlations within the cluster, driven by Coulomb blockade effects. This demonstrates a functional platform for programmable nanoelectronics based on molecular clusters.
