Ultrafast internal dynamics of chiral domain walls probed by time-resolved XRMS
Researchers used time-resolved x-ray resonant magnetic scattering (XRMS) to study picosecond dynamics of chiral domain walls in magnetic materials. They found that a specific signal, sensitive to magnetization inside the walls, showed strong oscillations whose frequency decreases with laser power. This suggests that pump energy modifies the wall's internal structure and changes how it responds magnetically.
