Hybrid neutron stars among mass gap objects are excluded by twin stars at 1.4,M
The study investigated whether hybrid neutron stars could exist in the mass gap (2.5 to 5.0 M_sun) using a generic equation of state with a first-order deconfinement transition. Bayesian analysis, constrained by mass-radius measurements and twin star properties around 1.4 M_sun, suggests that such hybrid stars are excluded as candidates for observed mass-gap compact objects.
