Science-driven design and performance evaluation of a Silicon Laue Component lens for hard X-ray polarimetry
Researchers designed a Silicon Laue Component lens to study hard X-ray polarimetry from black holes and neutron stars in the 80–200 keV band. The design provides continuous energy coverage but struggles to maintain a high sensitivity threshold across the entire range, suggesting further material optimization is needed for full mission implementation.
