Constrained finite-time stabilization by model predictive control: an infinite control horizon framework

The paper proposes an infinite-horizon Model Predictive Control (MPC) framework for constrained finite-time stabilization of discrete-time systems. It overcomes limitations of existing methods by replacing short terminal costs with an infinite sum of stage costs, which enlarges the initial feasible region. This guarantees convergence to the origin in finite time without needing restrictive terminal equality constraints.
