The Birth and Early Feedback of Massive Star Clusters Across the Local Universe

This research explores how young massive star clusters (YMCs) form and how they influence their surroundings through feedback mechanisms like gas outflows. Current studies are limited to individual systems, leaving uncertainties about initial conditions and feedback effectiveness. ALMA2040 will enable mass-complete surveys across hundreds of galaxies, turning these case studies into statistical measurements of cluster formation and feedback across all galactic environments.
