Polarization-dependent exchange effects in intrabeam scattering
This study calculates small corrections to intrabeam scattering growth rates caused by identical particle exchange interactions in polarized beams. While these effects are usually small because scattering is dominated by small angles, polarization modifies the cross-section at larger angles. The results show how beam polarization influences the growth rates, revealing a subtle but measurable effect beyond standard models.
