Identifying heating processes in simulations with an entropy-based scheme: A single jet episode in a galaxy cluster

The study uses passive entropy scalars to systematically measure how AGN jets heat galaxy cluster gas in MHD simulations. It found that light jets heat gas primarily through turbulence and mixing, while denser jets rely more on shock heating. This helps clarify how different jet properties regulate cooling and star formation.
