Generic skyrmion phase diagram in ferrimagnetic films

The study investigates how inter-sublattice exchange coupling affects stable and metastable skyrmion configurations in ferrimagnetic films. It introduces a dimensionless parameter, $\zeta_{eff}$, to distinguish between strong and weak coupling regimes. The findings establish a unified framework showing that skyrmion stability is controlled by different parameters depending on the coupling strength, enabling the stabilization of skyrmions even in sublattices lacking intrinsic Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction.
