A Vision for Little Red Dots in the Low-Redshift Universe with ALMA2040

The study investigates using ALMA2040 to study Little Red Dots (LRDs) at low redshifts, particularly 'The Egg,' to constrain their gas mass and black hole properties. While current ALMA capabilities face challenges with CO detection, the research explores how improved AI analysis can enable robust molecular gas mass estimates and dynamical tests of black hole masses by forward modeling spectral cubes. This work sets a path toward using LRDs as laboratories for understanding accreting black holes in the local universe.
