From GeV to PeV: Orbital Modulation and Wind-Regulated Ultrahigh-energy Emission in Cygnus X-3
The unified model explains Cygnus X-3's simultaneous GeV and PeV emission using a common binary-jet geometry. It shows that ultrahigh-energy (UHE) emission from multi-PeV protons is strongly controlled by the accretion-driven wind structure. Changes in this wind can drastically alter the UHE luminosity, linking current observations to historical, brighter PeV activity.
