Properties and limitations of linear models for mutual coupling in 21 cm arrays
Mutual coupling in low-frequency arrays leaks foregrounds into clean 21 cm signals. The study decomposes this coupling into an antenna mode and a structural mode, showing the antenna mode is small but correctable via sky weighting. Relaxing re-radiation constraints allows linear models to remove structural coupling too, offering significant suppression gains.
