Magnetic enhancement and Hall conductivity of excitonic insulators in a Gross--Neveu type model
The study uses an extended Gross–Neveu model to explore how a perpendicular magnetic field affects excitonic condensation, showing it enhances this ordering—an excitonic version of magnetic catalysis. The field modifies the phase diagram and leads to measurable changes in transport properties like Hall conductivity near the transition, providing new ways to probe these quantum states.
