Computing the final epidemic size distributions of a multi-type Galton--Watson process

The study proposes a method using Cauchy integral contours to compute the final size distribution of multi-type Galton-Watson processes, which model epidemic spread across different types of hosts. This framework allows for statistical inference of transmission parameters from cluster size data, successfully applied to Middle East respiratory syndrome data.
