High-energy extension of the gamma-ray band observable with an electron-tracking Compton camera

Researchers developed a new analysis method for 'double-hit' events in an electron-tracking Compton camera (ETCC). This technique, which uses both the electron tracker and scintillator hits, successfully extends the observable energy range of the detector up to 3.5 MeV. Furthermore, this method achieves twice the angular resolution compared to previous single-hit analyses in the overlapping energy range of 1.0–2.0 MeV.
