Planetary system architectures in the final stages of planet formation

Ongoing collisions between planetesimals after protoplanetary discs dissipate create debris discs that trace system dynamics and volatile delivery. Current observations are biased toward bright, young belts around early stars, but future sub-mm facilities will allow surveys of faint outer belts across all spectral types to reveal the majority of systems.
