Exciton Energy Routing via Defect Networks in hBN/2D-Perovskite Hybrids

Researchers studied exciton energy transfer in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) and Ruddlesden-Popper perovskite (RPP) heterostructures. They found that exciton energy can be transferred over ultralong distances, up to 150 micrometers, through defect centers in hBN and subsequent interactions. This mechanism enhances luminescence and lifetime, suggesting a robust platform for advanced optoelectronic devices.
