Fermionic Gaussianity can be tested with mode-independent sample-complexity
The work develops mode-independent sample-complexity techniques to test if an unknown pure quantum state is fermionic Gaussian or far from it. The core finding is that deciding this property requires an optimal number of copies, scaling as Θ(ε^-2), which is dimension-independent and asymptotically optimal for testing fermionic Gaussianity.
