Gaussian continuous tensor network states: short-distance properties and imaginary-time evolution
This study investigates Gaussian continuous tensor network states (GCTNS), which model ground states of quantum field theories with rational dispersion relations. It shows that these states flow in the ultraviolet to free Lifshitz theories with an even dynamical exponent. The authors tested two approximation methods—rational approximants and imaginary-time evolution—on Klein-Gordon theory, finding limitations in GCTNS's ability to capture relativistic short-distance behavior.
