Microwave spectroscopic evidence of a moir'e-commensurate electron crystal in monolayer graphene

Researchers used microwave transmission to study graphene's lowest Landau level under a moiré pattern. They found that a specific electron crystal state, predicted by DaSilva, Jung, and MacDonald as the most favorable fixed-density configuration, is present at every magnetic field. This state is characterized by tracking a fixed carrier density per moiré cell (1/3) rather than just having the deepest minimum.
