Helicity decoupling ultrastrong Rabi splitting from quantum vacuum dressing
The study shows that polariton formation and quantum vacuum dressing are separate effects arising from ultrastrong light-matter coupling, which can be independently controlled using helicity. By reversing the magnetic field, researchers can switch between a regime where polaritons form without vacuum dressing and one where the ground state exhibits squeezing and virtual excitations. This proves spectral hybridization is distinct from vacuum dressing.
