Cooperative Quantum Optical Effects of Moir'e Exciton Superlattices

The research explored how moiré exciton superlattices create unique cooperative optical responses beyond simple individual exciton effects. Key findings show that the real-space structure allows collective states to exhibit either superradiant (very fast decay) or subradiant (very slow decay) behavior based on their in-plane wavevector. This enables applications like photon memory and efficient single-photon switching.
