PRISM: Distributed Inference for Foundation Models at Edge
PRISM is a strategy for running large foundation models like BERT and GPT-2 efficiently on edge devices. It achieves this by using Segment Means to compress intermediate features, restructuring self-attention to reduce redundant calculations, and implementing partition-aware causal masking. This significantly cuts communication overhead and computation while maintaining good accuracy.
