Hunting for Compact Object Binaries from eRASS1 Optical Counterparts through ZTF Time-domain Photometry and Multi-wavelength Surveys

The study systematically searched for compact object binaries (COBs), primarily X-ray binaries, by combining eROSITA X-ray data with ZTF time-domain photometry and multi-wavelength observations. Two distinct selection pipelines were developed: one based on optical periodic variations and another using Gaia astrometry for distance constraints. This integrated approach efficiently discovered seven compact radio point sources, including potential XRB candidates.
