Organic Electrochemical Transistor Arrays with Integrated Lipid-Sealed Femtolitre Chambers for Simultaneous Electrical and Optical Detection of Membrane Protein Activity
Researchers created an array of organic electrochemical transistors with integrated lipid-sealed chambers to simultaneously detect membrane protein activity electrically and optically. By sealing individual microwells with a lipid bilayer, they can monitor ion flow and dye leakage in real-time. This provides a scalable platform for studying how proteins interact with membranes in biologically relevant conditions.
