One-photon annihilation of the bound electron-positron pair in the field of atomic nuclei
This study derives an exact Quantum Electrodynamics formula for one-photon annihilation of an electron-positron pair within a heavy atomic nucleus. The derived rate formula can be used to calculate annihilation rates for positronium hydrides and quasi-stable triplet states of positron-helium atoms, providing a precise tool for describing these specific few-body systems.
