Entanglement spectrum and Schmidt mode evolution during two-particle scattering

This work numerically investigates how a single particle's initial pure state evolves into a discrete ensemble of states during scattering experiments in one and two dimensions. It shows that late-time outcomes are dominated by simple, single-peaked wavepackets, while smaller eigenvalues correspond to complex states with multiple spatially separated parts. This reveals the branching nature of interactions.
