Electrically driven Rabi dynamics of magnetic-field-induced corner states in a two-dimensional topological insulator

Researchers used an electric field to control localized states at corners in a topological insulator by first using a magnetic field to create these corner states. They found that applying an electric field drives Rabi oscillations with frequencies up to 40 GHz, showing coherent manipulation of the two-level system. The study reveals a trade-off: stronger fields speed up manipulation but increase state leakage.
