Casimir forces on suspended thin dielectric membranes covered with graphene
The study investigates how graphene covered thin dielectric membranes affect Casimir forces compared to structures supported by bulk substrates. Replacing a solid substrate with a thin membrane partially restores strong temperature dependence in the Casimir pressure, showing up to 54% change for silicon oxide when temperature rises from 10 K to 294 K. This suggests membrane support is crucial for controlling thermal interactions.
